Foreman

Individual must have a minimum of 5-7 yrs. experience in civil construction. Any additional experience with earthworks, pipelaying or operating equipment in civil construction is an asset.

The Foreman position will involve the performance of various activities such as

• Oversight, planning and operations of daily crew activities.
• Management of project schedule
• Management of safe work practices for the crew.
• Documentation of all site activity
• Providing daily progress report to supervisors.
• Responsible for quality control for all workmanship of pipe, utility structure installation and earthworks.
• Effectively communicating with a variety of individuals.
• Adhering to safety policies and procedures.

We are seeking high quality candidates with the following requirements:

• Understanding of industry-standard safe working procedures, particularly around trenches and heavy equipment,
• Effective communication skills,
• Attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality workmanship,
• Problem solver,
• At least 3 years experience as a Foreman.
• Ability to work 5 or 6 days a week, 8+ hours per day
• Ability to commute to job site locations in the Lower Mainland

Labourer

• Key duties and responsibilities will include:
• Perform daily crew activities related to earthworks and the install of underground water, sanitary and drainage pipeline and structures;
• Installation of manholes, headwalls, catch basins, lawn basins, and other pre-cast structures;
• Help with the positioning of pipes and carry out associated tasks while working on pipeline construction;
• Transport construction materials to and from job sites and relocate materials to designated work zones;
• Smooth the ground to meet precise grading standards with a rake and shovel;
• Aid in the dismantling of buildings and structures using pry bars and various tools, as well as organize, tidy, and stack reclaimed materials;
• Clear away debris and rubble at construction sites utilizing rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and similar machinery;
• Other various construction related activities.

Job requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in civil construction;
• Understanding of industry-standard safe working procedures, particularly around trenches and heavy equipment;
• Ability to effectively communicate with crew members;
• Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination;
• Must be physically fit and able to provide hands on effort as required;
• Be ready to work in various jobsite locations in Lower Mainland.

Labourer

Position consists of daily crew activities related to earthworks and the install of underground water, sanitary and drainage pipeline and structures.

Must have the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals. Must be physically fit and able to provide hands on effort as required. Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic

About the role

• Troubleshooting, maintenance, diagnose and repair of construction equipment
• Prior knowledge of Komatsu, John Deere, Cat equipment (excavators, Rock Trucks, Dozers, Loaders)
• Welding skills would be an asset
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstract

This is a full-time position with great union wages and full benefits. Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed. Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
